reunion with one favorite island

I know this place, been here many times before. St Barts makes for such a convenient (cocktail) stop on the way between St Martin and Antigua. This is as close to our beloved French riviera as you can come in the Caribbean. Thankful for every moment we spend on this island.

randoms from the sea

Just a few snapshots from these past few days with Alex's lovely little sister Julie - from Guadeloupe to Antigua to St Barts and St Martin...

last night at Carre d'Or

We were lucky to get a perfect slip in between gorgeous super yachts and right outside our favorite place: Petro's sophisticated Le 88, a Greek lounge/restaurant which is squeezed in between the Cartier, Hermés and Cavalli boutiques on the main road of St Barts. A vodka pamplemousse never tastes better than after a 12,5 hour long sail in the sun. A few of those please and you're back on track.

bonito

We had time to visit a fantastic restaurant in St Barts the other night. Bonito is one of our top five dining favorites in the Caribbean. Elegant yet cozy atmosphere, great food with the best selection of ceviche to be found in the West Indies, attentive service and occasionally interesting live musicians visiting. This is the type of place one has to get dragged out from as you're too comfortable to leave. I love bars and restaurants where they've managed to create a feeling of that you're invited into someone's living room.

A short one

I'm saying good night tonight with a tiny little video from St Barts... don't ask me what I'm doing with my mouth. Talking, dancing and eating candy (?) was obviously never meant to be done at the very same time.

While we're having our beauty sleep in our mega-large bed on our new boat, maybe you could tell us what type of videos you wish to see more of in this blog of ours? I have understood from many that videos are what you want so before I even get there I'd like to know what type you'd prefer. Boat stuff? Cultural episodes? Beach tour? Sailing? Talk to me.

Do Brazil

Superb day at Shell Beach yesterday, much thanks to the amazing Brooke Johnstone and Julien Roussel and their deep, minimal set... felt like being sent back to Ibiza. If you're anything like us and prefer your music to be more dirty underground and if you're sick and tired of the commercial tunes at Nikki Beach, Do Brazil is the place to be on Sunday afternoons. Check out Brooke's mixes here.

Last days in St Barts

Hope you all had a lovely New Years Evening

My beautiful green silk dress is from my favorite loungewear brand, Babajaan
just like my purple kaftan in the previous post.
