The historical Venetian Castle of the city was built around 1450 and completed by the Venetians in 1792, resulting in a perfect and strong fortification, which remained unconquered until 1819.The little island with the church of the Virgin, which was at the forefront of the defences during times with raids.The ecclesiastical museum in the centre of the city with the marvellous attractions of the time such as the legendary coat of arms of the Pargans.

Summer Parga Weather

Summer is the time when most of the people come to Parga, Greece. Parga has around great beaches and the weather conditions are perfect for holidays. Summer is really long: from May till October, but the hottest month are July and August when the minimal temperature in the day is 25C. Parga’s summer temperature often jump to the 30s in the day and sea breezes on the coast are just perfect for cooling and refreshing at this times. Rarely summer heat waves can even bring temperature rise up to 40C. All through summer weather in Parga is more then just very nice so you can definitely leave your warm clothes at home! The only things that you need are: swimwear, sunglasses and sun protecting cream, but don’t worry, all these things you will easily find in every corner of Parga

Autumn Parga weather

Early autumn is a very good time to visit Parga because it is not so crowded and you can find many things in better prices. Even October has many sunny days with the temperature above 20C. However, if you like to stay in Parga longer until the late October and November, it can become really rainy and cool, as this time has the most rains of the year.

Winter Parga weather

In general winter in Parga is very mild, but it can be quite wet and windy. Average low temperature in this time in Parga can be 8-9 but rarely can also fall up to 5-6C. Mostly it is higher and some days during the winter in Parga you will enjoy pleasant and even warm sun, rarely found in other Northern regions of Greece.

Spring Parga weather

This is a good season to visit Parga, Greece, especially May – the beginning of summer. Early spring can have still some rainy days, fortunately until the late spring it decreases significantly, and May comes with very warm and mild-dry weather. Average temperature in May is above 20C.
